Breast symmetrization and balancing
Breast symmetrization is a medical procedure primarily aimed at restoring aesthetic balance to the breasts—particularly in cases where a patient experiences asymmetry resulting from oncological treatments (such as a mastectomy) or due to congenital or acquired differences in breast size, shape, or position. This procedure can significantly impact a woman’s well-being and quality of life, enhancing her self-esteem and psychological comfort. Symmetrization can be performed in various ways: by reducing the size of the larger breast (breast reduction), increasing the size of the smaller breast (breast augmentation), or by combining both procedures.
