Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

Restore the youthful shape and firmness of your breasts—with or without implants—by effectively correcting sagging (ptosis) in a way tailored to your anatomy.

Who is this treatment for?

Sagging breasts (loss of firmness and elasticity)

When the skin stretches due to genetics, weight fluctuations, obesity, or pregnancy, the breasts lose firmness, become hollow, and sag. In cases of Grade 1 ptosis, simply filling the breast with an implant (ideally via an endoscopic transaxillary approach) is sufficient. For more significant sagging, the solution is a breast lift with augmentation or a standard breast lift (mastopexy).

Breasts after pregnancy and breastfeeding (loss of shape or asymmetry)

After pregnancy and breastfeeding, glandular tissue may atrophy and the skin may lose elasticity, causing the breasts to sag. Breastfeeding can also lead to asymmetry if one breast was used predominantly. The solution to this problem is a breast lift (mastopexy), which restores symmetry and a beautiful shape.

Breast lift, or mastopexy, without implants

A procedure involving the removal of excess stretched skin and the reshaping and lifting of the breast gland and nipple (positioning the nipple 17–21 cm from the sternal notch) without the use of implants, thereby restoring a youthful, natural shape and fullness to the breasts without artificial filling.

Course of surgical treatment – breast surgery

Consultation

Detailed assessment of breast shape, size, proportions, and tissue quality. Determining the procedure type and scope: breast augmentation, mastopexy (breast lift), breast reduction, symmetrization, fat grafting, or a combination approach. In the case of breast augmentation—selecting the optimal size, shape, and implant type, as well as discussing the surgical placement technique.

Preoperative Preparation

Medical photography, required preoperative diagnostic lab work, and breast imaging (most commonly a breast ultrasound). Final confirmation of the surgical scope.

Surgery

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia (epidural anesthesia is exceptionally rare). Procedure duration depends on the type and scope of the surgery, followed by a post-operative observation period.

Initial Post-Operative Check-up

Evaluation of the healing process, wound assessment, and breast positioning. Depending on the procedure performed—dressing changes and updated post-operative care instructions.

Post-Operative Garments & Stabilization

Wearing a specialized supportive surgical bra and, in the case of implant augmentation, an implant stabilization belt if clinically indicated.

Subsequent Follow-up Visits

Regular check-ups throughout the healing phase to monitor wound recovery, breast contour, and implant positioning. Implementation of supportive conservative therapies if required.

Long-Term Follow-up

Following early recovery, periodic check-ups take place every 3 months, including monitoring implant integrity and position for augmented patients. A final follow-up including a breast ultrasound is conducted at 12 months to formally conclude treatment.

I am very satisfied with the result of the procedure. It's been over a year since the operation, and my breasts are perfect; I couldn't have been in better hands. My breasts were saggy after pregnancy, and they lacked fullness. The Doctor perfectly selected the implants; I completely entrusted myself to him, and it was the best decision. Now I'm enjoying beautiful, firm breasts. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

For boobs, it's only Dr. Boligłowa – my girlfriends were right!
Dr. Boligłowa measured, explained everything, showed implants, did fittings, then told me to show her! photos of breasts I liked so she would know what direction to go in! Simply amazing.
And the minimally invasive underarm method – just fantastic! No scars, minimal pain.
You do have to put in a bit of effort! with follow-up appointments, adjusting your bra, correcting the band, and monitoring your posture, but I assure you, it's worth it.

Frequently asked questions

The surgeon performs a so-called hypercorrection—lifting the breasts to an unnaturally high position—because gravity will naturally bring them down to the proper level during the healing process. Additionally, the breasts may heal at different rates, so temporary asymmetries during recovery are normal.
